| Q: |
What do I need to access Online Banking? |
| A: |
You will need a connection to the Internet, and a Web Browser which supports 128-bit SSL encryption. Netscape Navigator 3.0 up to 5.5 or Microsoft Explorer version 3.02 up to 5.5, both support this encryption. You may contact either of these vendors for a current copy of their browser. Online Banking works on any operating system that supports the browser listed above including, but not limited to, Windows
98, Windows 2000, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Pro. You also need accounts with our banks and an assigned Customer ID and Password. |
 |
| Q: |
Do I have to register to use Online Banking? |
| A: |
Yes, a one-time application is required to sign up for Online Banking. Once this form is received by the bank with your signature and account information, we will issue a Bank ID number and a Password (personal identification number). Upon your first visit to the Online Banking site you will be asked to select a Password of your choice and that Password will be used whenever you access Online Banking. |
 |
| Q: |
How do I use Online Banking? |
| A: |
After you enter your Password number on the first screen of Online Banking, you will be shown a list of your accounts and the balance in each. If you want more detail, or want to carry out a transaction, just select the function from the pull down menu for the account you are interested in and press the "submit" button. Any additional pages will have action buttons on them that lead you through your transaction. (For more detailed information, please visit the First Texas Online Banking Demo). |
 |
| Q: |
What if all my accounts do not appear on my account list? |
| A: |
You must be a sole or joint owner on an account to have it added to your profile. If an account falls in this category and is not shown on your listing, simply call customer service to have it added. |
 |
| Q: |
How current is the information about my accounts? |
| A: |
Account transactions and balances are
as of the close of business the previous day. Some items that
have been received but not yet posted to your account may show as
"pending". These transactions will post to your account at the
close of business on that day. |
 |
| Q: |
Can I change my Customer ID and Password? |
| A: |
Yes, you can change your Customer ID and Password as often as you want. Simply click on "Account Management" and follow the simple instructions. The Customer ID cannot begin with a number but may include a number. |
 |
| Q: |
What if I enter the wrong Customer ID or Password? |
| A: |
For security purposes, three consecutive invalid sign-on attempts will "lock you out" of the system. If you are locked-out, you need to contact customer service and we will reset your Customer ID and Password. |
 |
| Q: |
What if I forget my Password? |
| A: |
We do not have access to your Password once it has been changed. However, we can reset your Password back to your initial Password and you can then reset your own preferred Password. Just give us a call. |
 |
| Q: |
Will I continue to receive a paper account statement in the mail? |
| A: |
Yes, we will mail a copy of your account statement at the regular intervals. |
 |
| Q: |
How many statements can I see online? |
| A: |
You will be able to access and print your most recent statement. If you would like to review a longer history of transactions, you can also view a range of transactions between dates. |
 |
| Q: |
What if I get an error message? |
| A: |
If you get an error message please make a note of the message, the error number and the time. Then simply call the bank and we will make every effort to resolve the issue as soon possible. If you have a problem that we did not address in this section, please call and we will be glad to personally answer your question. |

of steps you can take to ensure that your First Texas Online banking account
information is protected:

Customer ID or Password to anyone else. Your Customer ID and Password are designed to
protect your banking information, but they will only work if you keep
them to yourself.

Texas Online Passwords frequently.

from your computer if you are in the middle of a First Texas Online

finished your First Texas Online banking session, sign off before visiting
other Internet sites.

Is First Texas Online
banking private & secure?
First Texas Bank is committed to making your online banking experience
safe and secure. We have taken many measures to ensure your privacy, including:
- Information
Encoding
We use the latest encoding technology to ensure that your private information
cannot be intercepted. Encryption is a way to rewrite something in code,
which can be decoded later with the right "key". When you
request information about your accounts, the request is sent encrypted
to First Texas Bank. We decode your request and send the requested information
back to you in an encrypted format. When you receive the information,
it is decoded so that you can read it.
- Personally
Selected Account Names
First Texas Bank does not display your account numbers over the Internet.
Instead, we ask you to choose a "pseudo" name for each of
your accounts.
- Individual
ID & Password Information
In order to access First Texas Bank's Online banking, you must enter
a unique Customer ID and Password.
- Password Security
System
To keep unauthorized individuals from accessing your account by
guessing your Password, we have instituted a Password security system.
If your Password is entered incorrectly three consecutive times, the
user is "locked out" of the system. If you have forgotten your password
and have accidentally locked yourself out of your Online banking
account, please contact Customer Service
at (254) 634-2132.
- Additional
Security Measures
In addition to the above safeguards, we have sophisticated firewalls
and an authentication process to ensure that only authorized individuals
are allowed to enter our system.
